Hello! My name is Stephanie Fors and I am grateful to be joining you on your journey.

Since I was a little girl, I knew I was put on the Earth to help people. In September 2003, I enlisted in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman (AO). During my time in the Service, I joined the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program as a Uniformed Victim Advocate to help people who had been victims of sexual assault. After 9 1/2 years, I left the Service with an honorable discharge in April 2013.

I spent the next 10 years getting my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work, volunteering with the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of South Hampton Roads, and working for the SAPR Program as a Civilian Victim Advocate, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), Major Command (MAJCOM) Program Manager, and Service Program Manager. Currently, I am working on my PhD in Social Work with a research focus on the impact sexual assault and sexual harassment have had on military readiness. I have always felt humbled and honored to be a part of someone’s healing journey. Through my work with victims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, and stalking, I knew my calling was to offer world-class counseling.
